ADELAIDE ROLLER DERBY
From 2008 to 2011, Freerange was deep in derby.
Our finance director Minka skated for Mile Die Club and Nick ran the scoreboard. In fact, we didn’t just run the scoreboard at the bouts — we created it. We also built the Adelaide Roller Derby website and the site for the national competition in 2010, the Great Southern Slam.
Adelaide Roller Derby was an amazing community of amazing people that we cherished being a part of.

FEATURED WORK
Dieri Language Resource
Around the turn of the decade, we worked with a number of Indigenous communities throughout South Australia on digital storytelling and language preservation projects.
Created with the Department of Education, the Dieri Language Resource was one of the most ambitious — a CD-ROM language learning tool, rich with illustrations from children in the Dieri community and recordings of the spoken language by elders, dedicated to preserving their culture.
It was as good as anything Duolingo did back in the day and another project it was an honour to contribute to.
Digital in 2010
Instagram launched. It was just square photos with filters. Facebook bought it two years later for $1 billion — which seemed absurd at the time.
