Good Dog Game

By 2007, Freerange was getting deeper into web standards, but web games were still firmly the domain of Flash. The third major interactive we built for Katalyst, this was our last Flash hurrah.

Created for the Cat and Dog Management Board, Good Dog Game is a virtual pet simulator where you have to care for a pet dog. Choose a big or small dog, give them a name, then train, feed, exercise and play with them — keeping them happy and healthy while earning awards for your dog-owner skills.

Our First Studio

At the end of 2007, we moved out of Nick’s lounge room and into our first studio.

We were on Leigh St in Adelaide, right next door to Katalyst, just as the city’s laneway revolution was kicking off. The vibe was… vibrant. Meetings and long lunches at Rigoni’s, then drinks at Casa Bla Bla. Agency lyf.
